CHARYS SCHULER
Charys is the Developmental Editor of SilvergrainClassics, and a violinist with the Frankfurt Radio Symphony and several chamber ensembles. These activities share many skill sets: digging into details to support the big picture, organizing the leadup to a finale on a set date, and, especially, performing best under pressure. She had her first international solo concert tour at age 12 and has continued the work ethic necessary to give 100% to everything she does. Her passions for photography, music, and writing are rooted in her love of communicating with others; she has developed relationships with artists throughout the world and is a recognized face in analog photography circles. Charys is also a supporter of charities which finance children’s cancer research after actively supporting her son through treatment for neuroblastoma which was diagnosed just after his first birthday.
MARWAN EL MOZAYEN
Marwan is a German photographer, lover and mender of film cameras, and the Editor-in-Chief of SilvergrainClassics print magazine, which focuses exclusively on analog photography and cinematography. Marwan has run his own businesses successfully for over two decades and has worked to support photography on analog film since the advent of digital. His early involvement in the German magazine PhotoKlassik gave him the opportunity to develop an extensive network of contacts within the photography industry, and he sponsors B to B meetups which are important to the European film photography sector. In addition to tinkering with mechanical cameras, Marwan also enjoys repairing his classic Volvo cars in his spare time.
